On the first day, we collect the group from the airport or the border. After picking up the group with a private car, public transport or taxi, we depart for Doğubayazıt. It takes 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach Doğubeyazıt from Van airport. Doğubeyazıt is a town located at the foot of Mount Ararat. The distance between Doğubeyazıt and Ağrı airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes. The distance between Doğubeyazit and Iğdır is just 50 minutes. Whichever airport our customers choose, we are also present at that airport by car and pick up the group. We drive to Doğubayazıt to the hotel and our guests stay overnight. The group can relax at the hotel if they wish, or visit the bazaar centre.

On the second day, after breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we get into the car with the group between 8 and 9 am and set off for Mount Ağrı. We descend to the village of ‘Çevirme’, at an altitude of 2,200 metres, and it is here that our special cook, who is part of our group, gives a lunch to each person, one by one, and the porters load all the ingredients onto the horses and head for the first camp, which is the winter camp, i.e. at an altitude of 2,800 metres. At the same time, our professional local guide either wears skis with the group or continues walking on the snow without wearing skis. We reach the first camp, at an altitude of 2800 metres, in around 3 hours. We make two or three stops along the way. When we arrive at the camp, our cook prepares all the meals and drinks and we stay at the first camp.

Today we acclimatise by walking with our skis to the second camp at around 4000 metres, then ski back to our winter base camp at 2800 metres, eat and drink hot drinks and spend the night in our tent, ready for the next day.

On the fourth day, after breakfast in the morning, between 9 and 10 am, the equipment and all the gear are loaded onto the horses and we head to the second camp [3500] with our local guide and camp at an altitude of 3500 metres. After dinner, hot water and tea, the group goes to bed.

We get up at 1am. Our cook will have prepared everything in advance and after breakfast we leave all our belongings at the camp. After picking up our small rucksack and putting our food and clothes in it, we head for the summit under the guidance of a local guide. We reach the summit in 6 or 7 hours. After staying on the summit for a while, we return to the second camp [3500] and ski back down. We reached the camp in 40 or 50 minutes. After eating at the camp, all the equipment is loaded onto the horses. We immediately descend to the town centre of Doğubayazıt, heading to the hotel in the late afternoon for accommodation.

On day 6, after breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we leave our guests at the airport with a private car.

On the seventh day, we offer you an extra day, as we will be using it to ski to the summit if the weather conditions are poor. You won’t pay extra for this. If the weather is good and we haven’t used the extra day, we’ll head down into town and use the historic cultural tour of Ishak Pasha Square and the Urartian Castle to spend the night at the hotel.

Important equipment for the summit: 2 pairs of gloves. Cold-resistant protective footwear suitable for winter. Cold-resistant trousers. Two jackets, one an ordinary jacket or coat, the other a thick winter coat.
